Rare and magnificent antique Chinese barbers stool circa 1820
Certainly the best example I have seen and in completely original condition.
The barbers stools have been around probably since the Ming dynasty. Very hard to date exactly but here is a superb example with wonderful brass decoration on the seat which dates this to an earlier period than many I have seen.
The item appeals to both collectors due to it's condition and rarity but also decorators because this would make a fantastic side table and the patination and overall look of the item will enhance any home.
