A really lovely, unusual and large Chinese"Rose Mandarin" porcelain trumpet vase with vibrant and highly detailed enamel and gilt decoration, showing very minimal wear. This type of “Famille Rose” item was made mainly for Europe or the USA, classifying it as Export ware. It is a fine example of Chinese Mandarin enamelled and gilded wares, likely dating from the 1830s during the Reign of the Emperor Daoguang (1820-1850). The vase is 13 inches (33 cm) tall and 18 cm (7 inches) in diameter.
This decoration is often referred to as "Rose Canton" ware, featuring exquisite decoration with Birds, Plants, Flowers, and Butterflies borders alternating with panels of court scenes and figures all with extensive gold gilding.
