Lovely example of an antique Chinese Qing Dynasty exquisite antique lacquered travelling jewellery case.
Late 19th century. The case is made of lacquered wood construction fitted with a wonderful Peking glass front decoration (See images).
The case is decorated with the intricate calligraphy decoration and floral themes. Original period brass carry handles.
The slide away front reveals a pair of lacquer draws (again with original handles) and a slide out mirror which hinges as shown. There is also a second mirror in the lower draw.
This is a fine example of Chinese lacquer wares of the period.
