Venetian cabinet
19th century Italian walnut and marquetry bombe serpentine shaped commode, with lovely golden patina. Crossbanded top inlaid with a central etched motif of a large Urn, surrounded by scrolls and flower heads in the baroque manner. Three drawers below with brass escutcheons and flanked by bronze gilded ormolu mounts. Beautifully decorated in marquetry heraldic themes and floral sprays. Raised on curved and splayed legs also with bronze gilded ormolu mounts legs with a soft scroll foot. This is part of a matched pair of venetian cabinets (see images)
