Superb pair of French Louis XVI Gold Leaf gilded open armchairs with carved wood decoration of acanthus leaves and floral decoration in the classical French taste and leaf carved tapering legs. The chairs are overstuffed spring upholstered with taupe silk covering with beaded backing. Magnificent gold leaf gilding to the frame and back of the chairs. Superb quality these chairs are most probably 19th Century. A great. example of the finest French craftmanship.
