£575.00

A beautiful and highly collectible antique English porcelain tea service, attributed to Spode, featuring the sought-after “Bat” 557 pattern

This elegant set dates to the early 19th century (circa 1810) and is decorated in fine black transfer scenes with hand-applied gilt detailing. The pattern depicts classical and pastoral landscapes, including figures, cottages, churches, and trees, all framed by rich gold borders and stylised Gilded bands around the rims — a hallmark of this desirable design.

The Spode Bat pattern is highly regarded by collectors due to its dramatic monochrome scenes and striking gold decoration. Complete or near-complete tea services are increasingly hard to find
