Chelsea Gold Anchor large figure of the "Shepherdess" Circa 1765
£870.00
Absolutely superb example of a Chelsea Gold Anchor Shephardess Figurine Circa 1770.
a genuine piece of Early English porcelain from the most sort after producer Chelsea Porcelain. Made around 1765 it is clearly marked with the Chelsea Gold anchor. The figurine seems to be in excellent condition - These figurines have always been extremely valued so it is always possible that at some point in the past it has had restoration but it is completely invisible to the naked eye.
Set on a gilt scroll base with sheep the quality of the decoration in overglaze enamels is outstanding. Chelsea's Soft paste porcelain of this period was the most proficient and highest quality of the Georgian 18th C era.
Clearly marked with the correct Gold Anchor marking to the back of the sculpture .
