Superb " Famille Rose " Puce ground large bowl 25cm in diameter. Yongzheng period ( 1723 -1735). This early 18th century enamel decorated bowl is off wonderful colour and quality. The colour is applied as an enamel over a white ground. Two larger panels shaped as scrolls depicting the Cockerel - An important Chinese symbol. The other two smaller quatrefoil panels feature garden birds on peony bushes
