Circa 1795
This period was the start of the early English porcelain manufacture and Worcester were one of the most famous of these manufacturers. The Founder Dr John Wall died in 1776 and the company was was bought in 1783 by Thomas Flight who had worked as an agent for the 1st period company under Dr John Wall. He paid £3000 pounds, a huge sum in those days. Flight with his two sons manged the company until 1792 when a partner Martin Barr was brought in  to help with the business. The company was now known as Flight and Barr but Martin Barr assumed control and so there was often just the incised B mark (later stamped) for Barr Porcelain. This cup and saucer date to the 18th Century so dating around 1795-1799
