Exceptional Louis XVI, Circa 1774, Ormolu Mounted Chinese Imari Bowl. The Ormolu mounts are are chiselled and Mercury gold gilded  - Absolutely authentic of the Period and of the highest possible quality,  as is the beautiful Chinese Imari Bowl . 

This is a Rare and Important piece. 

The Chinese bowl is enamel painted red ground applied on to an underglaze Cobalt blue painting and then decoration is of Chrysanthemums and blue roundels. It is an extremely striking bowl almost modern in taste
