Magnificent Early English Ironstone China part but large dinner service  Circa 1820 Imari Pattern (No 170) by Hicks & Meigh, manufacturers of the highest quality, durable eathenware and stone china produced in England at this time.

Started by Job Meigh II and his brother-in-law Richard Hicks with their factory in Shelton (Stoke-on-Trent) from around 1807 to 1822, later becoming Hicks, Meigh & Johnson until 1835. They were pioneers in stone china, known for richly decorated, often hand-painted pieces like "Japan Imari" patterns, floral designs, and "stone china" similar to Mason's, becoming famous for their lead-free glaze. 
The service comprises of a pair of sauce tureens with covers and stands, fifteen 23 cm plates, five 26 cm plates and eight 26 cm soup/dessert plates; lot also includes two James Dixon & Sons Patent Ironstone China Hot Water Plates in the same Imari design (36 including covers).
There are two pieces with very slight chip damage and the rest is in excellent original condition.

Shipping prices to all locations will be automatically shown when purchasing an item. These prices are for registered shipping. Collection is also possible. Please make sure you tick the correct box when buying any item to avoid transport charges if you intend to collect or send your own transport company

For International buyers they do not include any local taxes or customs duties, if applicable. That will be given as a separate invoice by your customs authorities directly to you.

Items will be very carefully packed and larger items will be crated.

RETURN & REFUND POLICY

For UK customers returns are accepted up to 14 days after receipt. The buyer is responsible for all shipping and insurance charges back to our warehouse. Refunds will be paid once the goods are checked for condition on return. Return goods may be subject for a restocking charge of 10% chargeable to the buyer

In all other cases returns are not accepted except in the case of items not being as described in the listings. Buyer must inform us that the goods are not as listed within a maximum of 5 working days from receipt along with any photographic evidence to support the claim. Buyer is still responsible for return charges and shipping, but these will be refunded (shipping costs must be agreed by us prior to sending).
