This is a large dish and impressive at 13 inches (33cm) diameter.
Wonderful design in underglaze Cobalt Blue of a boy fishing. Produced in the Arita Kilns. The subject is handled with great humour and shows the very best of Japanese Porcelain design and craftmanship.
This is a wonderful example of a 300 year old dishes in exceptional condition. The base shows the Classic kiln stilt marks found on pieces of this period
