Rare Japanese Edo Period Arita charger dish Circa 1860. The charger is extremely large 46cm (18 inches) in diameter but the outstanding feature of this piece is the quality of the Artwork in underglaze Cobalt blue of a glorious colour. The design is classical Chinese/Japanese,  simple almost abstract but beautiful in its design.

The dish is marked with a simple calligraphy mark to the back of the dish

Very similar pieces can be found in the Museum of the Shibata Collection of Early Edo Porcelain in Japan

Shipping prices to all locations will be automatically shown when purchasing an item. These prices are for registered shipping. Collection is also possible. For International buyers they do not include any local taxes or customs duties, if applicable. That will be given as a separate invoice by your customs authorities directly to you.

Items will be very carefully packed and larger items will be crated.

RETURN & REFUND POLICY

For UK customers returns are accepted up to 14 days after receipt. The buyer is responsible for all shipping and insurance charges back to our warehouse. Refunds will be paid once the goods are checked for condition on return. Return goods may be subject for a restocking charge of 10% chargeable to the buyer

In all other cases returns are not accepted except in the case of items not being as described in the listings. Buyer must inform us that the goods are not as listed within a maximum of 5 working days from receipt along with any photographic evidence to support the claim. Buyer is still responsible for return charges and shipping, but these will be refunded (shipping costs must be agreed by us prior to sending).
