A lovely Meiji period Japanese bronze of good patination. The bronze stands 30cm (12 inches) tall and is in excellent condition. The subject is of the Crane and the Turtle standing on rocks by lapped by waves on the sea shore. The bronze dates from around 1880 and is a very good example of the quality japanese bronze work of this period.
