Superb late 19th Century French Caned bench in figured fruitwood. Classical styled and very much in the Biedermeier taste of Northern Europe of the late 18th and 19th Centuries
The seat consists of tapered square legs and an unusual shaped back. The colouration, patination and condition are first class and this is a very usable piece of furniture either with or without a squab cushion.
